The ABC's of Serums

Ever wondered why there are so many skincare serums out there for your skin? Every brand seems to have multiple products that sound like they do the same thing. I’m here to tell you now that that’s not the case!
Just like our skin – every serum is different and is designed to address different skin ailments. It is often necessary to use multiple serums and layer them in order to target every skin concern.
Here’s a bit of a run down to get you started
Vitamin A –  also known as Retinol. Promotes skin renewal and healing, prevents signs of ageing, fights signs of UV damages such as sunspots, improves skin tone and combats acne. Due to its potency it’s crucial to build up to the recommended dosage. We recommend using this one at night and allowing it to do all the work while you sleep.

Vitamin B – the best vitamin B serum for your skin is vitamin B3, also known as Niacinamide. Brightens dull skin, boosts hydration whilst also regulating excess sebum, minimises inflammation and redness.

This serum is fundamental to every person’s skin regime. Best used in the morning (think of it as a glass of orange juice for your face!)

When to use your serum:

We recommend applying your serums to cleansed and toned skin but prior to your moisturisers. Don’t forget to ALWAYS incorporate SPF into your morning skincare routine!

If you have any troubling skin concerns, we always recommended you visit your beauty therapist and have thorough skin consultation otherwise, use our skincare filter or our customer service concierge for product recommendations!

Here's to happy, healthy, glowing skin!
