Gel

If you’re looking for a wet, sleek look then gel is the product for you.  It offers high hold and high shine, giving hair a sculpted hold that stays in place all day long.

Generally you’ll apply gel to towel tried hair. Gel is versatile as it can be reworked by wetting your hands and running them through your hair later in the day.

Our best-selling gel is Juuce Sumo Grip.

Creams

Styling creams or pastes are lightweight and great for controlling flyaway hair.  Creams provide hair with a natural shine and flexibility without greasiness or stiffness.  Styling creams are generally best for men who need something in their hair, but don’t want to look like it.

Creams can be applied to both damp or dry hair and work well for thinner hair, wavy/curly hair and all hair lengths.  Our favourite cream for guys is Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shaping Cream 85g.

Wax

Waxes are great for creating shine and control, while providing a pliable but effective hold. 

Avoid using waxes on fine or curly hair as it tends to clump and can make your hair look thinner. For this same reason, waxes should be applied to hair that is completely dry.

As wax is pliable it can be reworked during the day, but use sparingly so it doesn’t weigh hair down and create a greasy look.  It’s better to start off with a little and build up as needed.

Waxes are recommended for thicker hair and medium hair lengths.  We suggest trying the KMS Hair Play Hybrid Claywax.

Pomade

Pomades are good for adding shine while maintaining a pliable hold.  Pomades will give a wet, shiny look and is a great option for a sleek, well groomed style (e.g. combed styles).

If you have oily or fine hair, avoid pomades as it will make your hair greasier and limp. For more shine apply when your hair is wet and for less shine apply when your hair is dry.

Clay

Use Clay when you want to add body, thickness and structure to your hair.  Clays create a matte and natural look with pliable hold.  Hair clays are ideal for hairstyles that require tons of volume without having to worry about the styling product weighing down your hair.  

If you want a more firm hold apply when your hair is damp.  Blow-dry hair to add more volume. 

Clays are recommended for thin-to-thicker hair, wavy hair and all hair lengths.  Our most popular clay is 1922 by J.M. Keune Premium Clay
