Our 2019 skincare routine

We are well and truly into 2019, but why are we still using a 2015 skincare routine? If you're still one of those women that still buy the cheapest moisturiser at a drug store while doing your weekly shop then it's about time you take a couple of notes from my book and update your skincare routine (or create one). Having the right skincare routine is hard to master but finding the right ingredients takes testing some until you find the right product for your skin. luckily, I've done all the testing for you. This is the official updated 2019 skincare routine so you can finally throw out your $1.99 toner and stop reusing your make-up wipes because this routine is your new one and quite frankly it's about time you had a skincare routine.

P.S You can use this routine day or night

Step 1.

This one is probably the most on-trend product for 2019, the make-up eraser. If you haven't seen what this is then be prepared for a life-changing experience. The Vani-t make-up removal cloth is designed to quickly and effectively remove all traces of makeup including waterproof formulas. Are you wondering how this is done?  Well, the when wet, the super-fine specially woven fibres create a hydro-mechanical process that breaks the surface tension of the oils that bond makeup to the skin. The plush fibres reach deep into your pores to remove trapped makeup, giving your skin a healthy and invigorating clean in half the time.

Oh did I mention it's a cheaper alternative to using make-up wipes, since you just need to wash it can you can use it as much as possible?

Step 2.

Tone. Yes, toner! You might tone your hair but your skin needs it more, if you want to banish those blemishes or improve your skin's texture then a good toner will reduce these skin issues.  Firstly, I would recommend the Kerstin Florian Correcting Refining Toner, as it contains hydroxy acids lift away impurities, excess oil while natural botanicals refresh, purify and calm the complexion.

If you would prefer a cheaper option then a good one is the Comfort Zone Essential Toner. The Essential toner is more of a toning lotion that is alcohol-free, ideal for completing the cleansing step, while respecting the skin balance.

Step Three.

Add serum. After thoroughly cleaning and cleansing your skin one of the most important steps is adding in a boosting serum that helps make your skin look more youthful and plump. Depending on your skin type here are the three serums we recommend.

Dry skin

The Kerstin Florian Caviar Age-Defense SerumIs a highly‐concentrated formula of peptides and protein‐rich Caviar that contains actives that dramatically diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles. A luxuriously rich, yet lightweight serum, it deeply hydrates, nourishes and firms the skin to help reveal a vibrant, radiant complexion. If you want a cheaper alternative the Vani-T Luxe Elixir Cosmeceutical Face Oil works in similar ways by brightening and enhacing the skins natural glow.

Oiy skin

Kerstin Florian Correcting Hyaluronic Serum an anti-aging multi-tasker hyaluronic acid that attracts and binds moisture to skin, protects from free radicals, soothes inflammation and reinforces the skin barrier, leaving complexion hydrated, plump and renewed. Or for a cheaper alternative, the Anesi Dermo Controle Serum T-Zone is extremely rich in regulating, moisturising and decongestant active ingredients perfect for oily skin.

Combination or prone to breakouts

asap radiance serum  Created for skin that is sun damaged, aged, acne prone and pigmented skin.

Step Four.

Touch up any blemishes or moisturize your under eyes. They say that your under eye skin is almost seven times less thick than the rest of your skin on your face. Just taking that extra care of them can help prevent crows feet, dark circles and puffiness. The Alpha-H Liquid Gold Firming Eye Cream is the ultimate topical dermal corrector for the eye area with quadruple peptide technology, next generation Lime Pearl AHAs, multiple skin brighteners and illuminating diamond particles for the ultimate soft focus ‘photo finish’.

Step five.

Moisturise! This is by far my favourite part of my skincare routine. Using a moisturiser is good to protect the skin against pollutants in the air or make-up that you'll put on your skin. Most moisturisers usually do the job but we recomend the Alpha-H Protection Plus Daily SPF 50+ 50. Wearing a moisturiser gives you extra protection against UV rays plus the protection plus daily is a Non-greasy and non-whitening, Protection Plus Daily SPF50+ nourishes and hydrates the skin while fighting environmental aggressors.
