The hottest trend to hit the beauty industry, Brow Lamination.
What is it?
In short, it’s basically a ‘perm’ for your eyebrows. Don’t think short and curly, it’s more that the products used to reset the direction of your eyebrows are similar to those used to perm your lashes (lash lift). It creates fullness, definition and shape without the need for daily maintenance and setting products.
How does it work?
The first step is a glue product that is placed on your eyebrow and using a brow comb, your eyebrows are then directed in to the position and shape that you would like them to stay.
From here, the solution required to reshape the bonds of your eyebrow hair is placed on the eyebrows and left on for a few minutes (timing varies depending on products used and clients brow type)
The next step in the process is the neutralizer that locks the bonds in place, followed by a conditioning oil and finally a cleanser that helps remove the glue that was put on at the start.
How long does it last?
Brow lamination is a semi-permanent process that can last from 3 weeks up to 2 months. This will depend on the quality of products used and your natural brow growth.
Where can I get it done?
Because this is such a new service, you will need to search your area for the right therapist for you. We recommend trying your local eyebrow/eyelash specialist to see if they offer this brand new service.
How much is it?
Depending on your selected therapist prices can range from $90 to $150. Some therapists will also include a shaping or tinting service in a package.
DON’T WANT THE COMMITMENT?
Sometimes, due to cost, location, time or a combination of reasons we can’t always get these types of services done. But there’s no need to have unruly eyebrows if you don’t want to. Here’s a couple of our go to products for taming those eyebrows and filling at home.
